This may just be a proxy-war. A proxy-war with Russia is supposed to be something.
The Russians have been defeated, mostly.
I'm not sure what's going on over there. In fact, I have no idea.
What did Russia cite as its legitimate claims against Ukraine? I do know at least a few offhand.
There's 1) The Black Sea
2) Sovereign borders & boundaries. (Not lawfully enforced).
& 3) Abduction, abuse, & forfeiting of Russian citizens, bystanders, or pedestrians.
So, there's a few. Those are the core-three that I mentioned. There's another such instance where Ukraine & Russia have a synonymous identity. Perhaps the Ukrainians would argue this. I do know the Russians wouldn't because the Russians had the majority of favor in the say of history.
I mean, nation's can wage war. Russia didn't seem to be being very serious. So, I would say "proxy-war." A proxy-war from what I've confirmed means a territorial dispute. You could say I stood behind Russia at the outbreak of the war.
The Russians had to win as a superpower. The United States defeated Iraq in 3 weeks. That was the fastest war, ever. In comparison, Germany took 2 1/2 weeks to defeat Poland. The Polish, however, fought fiercely & inflicted a damage on the Germans that heavily costed the Germans; & that the Germans (must have or did) hate them for.
So, I am for Ukraine at this point. If the United States is attacked, there should be a internationally recognized occupation that's conducted lawfully within a matter of days. No! That is how it works.
Ukraine wasn't supposed to have any power against Russia. But they did. So, I'm against this war, now, & I am regretful it's happening. I think of this or that way for my own Country. I mean, yeah! There better not be an army on my soil. Or else I attack it. I wouldn't attack it if there was no other's resisting it. The Media smorgasbord of the Bush Administration did really alienate me from this Country. They're soldiers. I may be one myself, too, one day. As I was a teenager in those days. You can't have all of this rotten shit on the TV & expect soldiers to support you.
Which is the next question I would ask. Are they Nazis or Germans? Because there's a distinct difference. They are not the same. They depend on which era. In my example of this, it'd be which occupational force.
